The NJCU Center for the Arts brings the University's cultural offerings
together under one creative umbrella.
With New York City just across the river, NJCU boasts gifted faculty in music, theatre, and visual media and literary arts who share their knowledge and passion with students. Our theaters and galleries are teeming with performances and exhibitions, and we look forward to seeing you at events on campus and in the surrounding community.

The Requiem, Op. 9, by Maurice Duruflé, based on ancient chant, comes to life with a 175-member chorus and full orchestra, as the NJCU Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers are joined by choirs from Newark Arts High School. Conducted by Dr. Robert Prowse, with special guests: New Arts High School Freshman Choir, Mixed Chorus, and Advanced Choir under Dr. Jerry Forderhase, Director.
